WrestleMania is an annual professional pay-per-view event organised by WWE for its RAW, SmackDown and 205 Live franchises. WrestleMania 2019 was the 35th edition of WrestleMania.It took place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This was also the first ever WrestleMania to feature a women’s main event match in the history. Also though largely anticipated by fans to be otherwise, it was the first WrestleMania since WrestleMania 2000 which didn’t feature The Undertaker. According to the official WWE News, WrestleMania 35 had an attendance of 82,265.
The two official theme songs for the event were “Love Runs Out” by OneRepublic, and “Work” by Chris Classic, with the latter serving as a secondary theme. Another theme song for the main event was “White Flag” by Bishop Briggs. As revealed by March 4 WWE Raw News, Colin Jost and Michael Che of Saturday Night Live were named as special correspondents for the event. They were then later entered into André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
There were a total of 16 matches on the card, four of which were a part of the pre-show, and the remaining 12 comprised of the Main Event. The results of the matches were predetermined by writers and were hugely based on the storylines created by WWE Raw Results and WWE SmackDown Results of previous weeks. A total of 10 Championship matches featured in the event and we saw a change of hand for the Championships on six occasions.
The overall inception of the event was fairly good and similar for both critics and fans alike. The only downside to the event was that it was over 7.5 hours all matches put together, making it the longest ppv ever hosted by WWE.
