Access to Fitness Is Now Easier

The time for structured fitness programs is almost gone now. It used to be that you can get a good and proper workout only when you become a gym member or a health and fitness club. Today, you can access fitness almost anywhere, and the variety and intensity of fitness routines available now depends on your lifestyle and fitness level as well. This is good news for everyone who wants to be fit, including those with very little time to squeeze in a bit of workout into their daily lives.

The operational word here is to have the will to exercise, because fitness can be done wherever you may be. There are applications that can help you connect to some online workout sites. There are also several fitness centers where you can enroll in a fitness class and access the specific lessons on demand. Moreover, you can devise your own fitness routine even without gym equipment. You can do this at home. You can also invest in some small exercise equipment for the home, such as a stationary bike, an exercise tubing or band, a fit ball and a pair of dumbbells. More people can have access to fitness today, and here are some of the ways to do it.

Getting Fitness on-Demand

If you find it difficult to go to the gym after a hectic day, it’s still not a good reason to not give your fitness some attention. You have the choice of joining the fitness class physically or do it on-demand – on a remote basis. Home workouts are now a thing, and you can get a quality on-demand workout & coaching from the extent of your home. The  workout is available 24 hours a day, every day of the week and wherever you are. You can access several workout programs that include various types of exercises. The exercises are updated regularly so you won’t get bored.

HIIT training

Another way to benefit from fitness workouts is to do HIIT or high intensity interval training. Doing HIIT exercises for fitness can also be done anywhere and you do not need gym equipment to be able to do HIIT. You can use your bodyweight for your workout, for example, pushups. You can use dumbbells, medicine balls or kettlebells if you need to increase your heart rate or tone your muscles. Even beginners can enjoy a HIIT workout if physically fit. You can swim, cycle or jump rope. You can do fast sprint or jog for 30 seconds or combine slow jog with walking and do it for 60 seconds. If you continuously do the routine for 30 seconds, rest for 60 seconds or on a 1:2 ratio. HIIT also allows you to exercise only a few times each week.

Fitness apps

If you want variety, does not want to have gym membership and cannot afford a personal trainer, there are various apps that will give you access to fitness training. Some of them are specially-designed for known athletes, such as those available at Nike Training Club, which is free. Some apps charge less than $50 a year or about $8 a month. You will be required to take a fitness test from a virtual personal trainer and puts you in training at a level or program based on the result of your test. You can also have access to yoga exercises if that is more your style.

With these ideas, you’ll be able to access fitness training anytime you want, where you want it, without too many frills.
