4 Fun Ways To Get In Shape For People Who Hate Exercise

Exercise is one of those things that most people either love or hate with rarely anything in between. Even if we know that it’s good for us, sometimes we just can’t seem to bring ourselves to put on workout clothes and get the job done.

Some people have never worked out before while others may have tried and had a negative experience. Whatever your background may be when it comes to exercise and why you have an aversion to it, there are a few ways to exercise which hardly feel like exercise at all.  Here are some of the best ways to get your body in shape for people who don’t like working out.

Roller Skating

Going roller skating is something which is a fun and lighthearted activity.  You can go alone or with a group of friends or family.  It’s something which brings back childhood memories and is hard to do without a smile on your face.

The nice thing about roller skating is that you have the option of doing it outdoors or in a roller skating rink.  If you have knee issues, it can be a great way to avoid any injuries since the motions are fluid and you aren’t pounding your joints like you would in an activity like running.

Dancing

Turning up the music and working up a sweat is one of the best activities for people who don’t like going to the gym.  Since dancing is something people like to do anyway and uplifts your mood, it’s an extra perk that it also happens to burn calories.

You can either do it in the privacy of your own living room or join a class.  If you join a class make sure that you are placed in an appropriate level since if the choreography is too complicated initially you may give up altogether.

Yoga

Yoga is something which has gotten more popular in mainstream culture over the last decade.  It is great for relaxation and stress relief and can help build strong and resistant muscles.

Yoga can be as intense or as low intensity as you want since there are so many different kinds to choose from.  There are options for those who like fast paced high intensity as well as low-intensity options which focus more on breathing and stretching.  All kinds of yoga are good for you and will give you results.

DVD’s

Working out along a DVD in the privacy of your own home is something that appeals to a lot of people who simply don’t like the act of going to a gym.

Whether they are insecure about how they look or simply don’t like to have to get in their car to do a workout, a DVD at home is a great option.
